Job summary

Watco Transloading, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate front end loaders, cherry pickers, material handlers, and skid steers to support loading, unloading, and site operations. You will follow all safety procedures and company standards while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves rotating shifts with a 12-hour day schedule (2/2/3).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain TWIC if location requires.
• Class A CDL or willingness and ability to obtain.
• Training or certifications in heavy equipment operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy rail-related machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company standards at all times.
• Read and interpret material instructions, safety rules, and maintenance manuals.
• Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers.
