Job summary

Stadler Rail AG in Salt Lake City seeks a Welding Engineer to lead welding operations, maintain EN 15085 and ISO 3834 compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has MIG/TIG welding experience, a strong understanding of aluminum alloys, and proven ability to review drawings, develop WPS/WPQR, and coordinate NDT activities across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding experience with MIG and TIG.
• Qualification per Doc. IAB-252/EWF-416.
• Knowledge of EN 15085 and ISO 3834.
• Experience with aluminum welding (5xxx/6xxx).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level B Welding Technologist for Class 1 rail welds.
• Obtain and maintain EN 15085 certification.
• Provide oversight for welding activities at Salt Lake City site.
• Review welding drawings, specs, and processes.
• Develop WPS and WPQR per ISO 3834.
• Coordinate NDT (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) inspections.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain.
