Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic electronics with emphasis in low-voltage AC/DC circuits.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and use a multimeter.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer use.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain and improve grade crossing warning, AEI or defect detector systems within assigned territory.
• Be on-call and respond to dispatch and supervisor trouble calls promptly.
• Maintain test records according to retention schedules.
• Foster good relationships with local railroad customers and suppliers.
• Team player willing to assist other territories and on special projects.
• Ensure safety of self and others and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep company vehicle and tools in good working order and calibrated.
• Extensive travel required.
