Responsibilities

• Safely switching railcars and safe train movement.
• Obtain and receive information and act on oral or written instructions.
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing within yards or on road.
• Observe, interpret and relay signals for train movement.
• Inspect cars per federal regulations and monitor track conditions.
