You will read blueprints, select materials, and assemble guardrails and handrails to meet exact dimensions, working closely with Quality Control to ensure compliance before finishing. Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints for rails and miscellaneous metals.
• Experience using tape measures and hand tools.
• Knowledge of fabrication and layout tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math and geometry.

Responsibilities

• MIG, TIG, and Stick Weld.
• Read, understand, and lay out in accordance with blueprints.
• Operate cold saw, band saw, pipe notcher and grinder.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits.
• Use jigs, welding torches and hand tools.
