Job summary

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Foreman to join our team. Our team works on exciting construction projects installing stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals.

As a Field Foreman, you will lead your crew for installation of stairs, rails and miscellaneous metals, coordinate daily activities with the General Contractor, read blueprints, and ensure safety and compliance with job-site regulations, while generating daily field and safety reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in miscellaneous metals
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints and safety documents
• Mathematical proficiency for measurements (units, fractions, decimals)
• Understanding of angles and degrees
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding processes SMAW FCAW GMAW GTAW
• Welding certifications or ability to pass weld test

Responsibilities

• Instruct and organize crews, tools, materials and installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals

• Serve as Company's Safety representative on-site

ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a Field Foreman, you will lead your crew for installation of stairs, rails and miscellaneous metals.

• Provide skills vital for the installation of stairs, rails and misc. metals
• Coordinate daily activities with General Contractor
• Read and layout in accordance with blueprints
• Instruct and organize crews, tools, materials and installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals
• Ensure crew members have proper certifications, are qualified to operate equipment and/or tools and follow job-site safety regulations
• Complete daily field reports and vehicle inspection reports
• Responsible for the timely completion of Daily Field reports, Safety reports, Time and Material tickets and any other documents required by the General Contractor
• Serve as Company's Safety representative on-site

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the miscellaneous metals field for a minimum of 2+ years preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, Tool-Box Shop Talks and safety procedures, Operator's Manuals and maintenance instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Understanding of angles and degrees
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1. and the following processes, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
• Current welding certifications or ability to pass weld test
