Job summary

DeQueen and Eastern RailRoad in Oklahoma is seeking a Track Laborer to inspect, repair and install track and related components, including switches, fences, and crossings, to maintain safe, compliant rail operations.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, assisting foremen, maintaining records, and following FRA and railroad rules. Candidates should have a High School diploma, 5+ years in rail, CDL preferred, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in the railroad industry preferred
• Track maintenance experience
• Heavy machine/equipment operating experience
• Welding experience preferred
• High School diploma/GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and/or install track and track components (rail, ties, ballast)
• Inspect, repair and/or install switches, fences, crossings
• Operate equipment to inspect and improve track structure
• Assist Foremen/Track Inspectors and Machine Operators/Welders as directed
• Maintain maintenance-of-way documentation (summaries and reports)
