Job summary

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is seeking a Laborer CDL (A or B) based in Dillsboro, NC to lay, repair, and maintain track and bridges on the GSMR line. You will operate company vehicles requiring a CDL and support routine maintenance while adhering to all GSMR safety procedures and policies.

Candidates must hold CDL A or B with a valid DOT medical card, communicate effectively in English, and be prepared for physically demanding work in varied weather and shifted schedules.

Qualifications

• CDL-A or CDL-B with DOT medical card.
• Able to work in varied weather and physically demanding tasks.
• Effective communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lay, repair, and maintain track and bridges.
• Safely operate company vehicles that require a CDL.
• Comply with GSMR safety procedures and rules.
• Assist in implementing a track equipment and vehicle maintenance program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
