Knife River Corporation in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a railroad construction/maintenance worker. The role builds and repairs railroad track, operating a range of equipment and performing routine maintenance as needed. Schedule is typically Monday–Friday with some weekend work during production season.

Starting wage is $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits and opportunities for growth. You will help lay out track, remove snow, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to qualify as valid worker under FRA standards.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical card.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain right of way.
• Build new railroad track.
• Use different machines to accomplish railroad related tasks.
• Help perform maintenance on machines.
• Laying out rail, tie and other track materials.
• Snow removal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
