Job summary

BNSF Railway is hiring for Maintenance of Way roles in Grand Forks, ND. Positions involve on-site work, travel to multiple job sites, and overtime with nights and weekends. Entry wage is around $36.30–$40.45 per hour, full-time, with company-paid training and relocation not offered.

Residency within the designated district is required. Candidates must be able to work in a safety-sensitive environment, pass background checks, and meet travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-shift, including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to travel to job sites for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair and rebuild railroad track and perform maintenance.
• Maintain track-bed by compressing ballast and adjusting rail.
• Operate tools and equipment such as drills and saws.
• Drive trucks and maintain equipment records.
• Weld, grind, and cut rail following procedures.
• Work safely in varied weather and physically demanding conditions.
