Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking an Assistant Signal Worker to assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of railroad signals and grade crossing warning systems. You will work with diverse equipment to ensure safe and efficient transportation across North America.

You will inspect circuits, assemble devices, install communications systems, and follow safety and FRA guidelines while traveling within the territory. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of signal circuitry, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Assemble and disassemble signal crossing warning device equipment and perform repairs.
• Construct, install, maintain and replace signal communication circuitry and components.
• Operate company vehicles and travel within geographic territory.
• Adhere to safety, FRA regulations, and company guidelines.
