Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is hiring a Shift Manager Maintenance in the Railroad Department at the Cleveland Works facility.

This frontline leadership role directs day-to-day maintenance of locomotives, railcars, track equipment, and related assets to ensure safe, reliable rail operations. The successful candidate will lead Maintenance Technician mechanics, coordinate preventative maintenance using CMMS, drive reliability improvements, manage budgets, and collaborate with Railroad Operations to

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial, railroad, transportation, or military environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and development of maintenance personnel.
• Manage inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of railroad equipment including locomotives and railcars.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance work with Railroad Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Safety, contractors, and other plant departments.
