Qualifications

• Welding experience is required; on-the-job training available for other mechanical skills.
• May require a valid Driver's License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform required repairs.
• Performs welding, cutting and gouging to complete railcar and equipment repairs.
• Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks.
• Follows all safety rules, maintains work area cleanliness and complies with all safety policies.
• Ensures quality assurance standards are met.
• Completes any other duties as assigned.
