Job summary

Savage is hiring for a Rail Operations position in Lima, OH. You will support refinery and rail activities, loading and unloading petroleum products, operating pumps and valves, and assisting with transfers between railcars and storage tanks.

Please be prepared for outdoor, physically demanding work on a rotating schedule with strong safety discipline and team collaboration. A valid driver’s license is required and prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of industrial, rail, terminal, refinery, manufacturing, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to working safely in an industrial environment.
• Basic computer skills for electronic reporting and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars safely and in accordance with refinery and customer requirements.
• Operate pumps, valves, loading arms, hoses, and related transloading equipment.
• Assist with material transfers between railcars, storage tanks, and refinery systems.
• Perform pre-use inspections of equipment and work areas for readiness.
• Complete daily operating reports, inspection records, and shipping documents.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
