Job summary

Guardian Rail is seeking hands-on railcar technicians to inspect and repair railcars at our Maumee, OH facility. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to FRA and AAR standards in year-round outdoor conditions.

Ideal candidates have rail industry or heavy industrial experience, including welding or mechanical assembly. A $1,500 sign-on/retention bonus is offered and compensation is based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial/heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, procedures and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs per FRA and AAR rules.
• Follow Guardian Rail safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area per OSHA and environmental rules.
• Assist in disassembly of damaged railcars and tank cars.
• Operate hand and power tools and welding equipment as qualified.
