Job summary

Railserve, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Rail Switching Technician in Belle, WV. This full‑time, outdoor, hands‑on role keeps railcars moving safely and efficiently and offers paid training along with strong leadership support.

Shifts run Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm, with occasional overtime. Compensation is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus a benefits package starting Day 1, including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and safety shoe reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment (up to ~50 lbs).
• Climb on and off railcars, ladders, and platforms.
• Ability to wear required PPE without restriction.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance.
• Military experience and experience following detailed procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and securing railcars.
• Operate switches, gates, and hand brakes.
• Connect and disconnect railcars.
• Guide locomotives using radio or hand signals.
• Monitor track conditions and identify hazards.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Perform additional duties to support safe rail operations.
