Job summary

Tactical Cleaning Acquisition LLC seeks a Shop Manager to oversee day-to-day railcar cleaning operations, lead a diverse team, and uphold safety and environmental standards. You will drive compliance with regulations, train staff, and ensure a profitable location while coordinating with customers.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage schedules, resources, and safety programs. Travel up to 50% may be required to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• An Bachelor's Degree from a college or technical school is preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility and oversight of a railcar cleaning location with SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT being the highest priorities next to financial stewardship.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and lead direct employees from various backgrounds in their day to day duties.
• Oversee that safety, environmental, housekeeping, equipment, and quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure proper railcar cleaning per company, customer, and industry standards.
• Adhere to production deadlines and schedules by monitoring work and scheduling employees.
• Complete operational documents on time, including daily reports, estimates, and QA/QC documents.
• Coordinate with local switch crew for accurate and efficient railcar switching.
• Evaluate production and control labor costs and supply expenses.
• Monitor inventory with vendors to prevent delays and waste.
• Conduct interviews, performance reviews, and corrective actions for staff.
