Arizona Eastern Railway Company (AZER) in Globe, AZ is seeking a Car Repairman to build, repair, and inspect railway cars, ensuring compliance with FRA, industry and company standards. This hands-on role emphasizes precision and safety to keep rail operations moving smoothly.

The position involves outdoor work, lifting up to 75 pounds, and a 24/7 schedule with nights and weekends. Comprehensive benefits and on-the-job training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Welding experience/certification is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, repair, weld, remove, or replace components such as wheels, safety appliances, truck and brake equipment, couplers, yokes, draft gears, and air brake valves or perform other car repair-related tasks as required.
• Perform rerailing and complete repair activities including in emergency situations.
• Repair, remove, or replace components using jacks, blocks, cutting and heating torches, and other hand tools.
• Collaborate with others on repair strategies and project planning.
• Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and repair instructions.
