Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Railcar Technician to perform repair and maintenance on tank cars, lead in safety-conscious operations, and support customers with quality service. Location is Catlettsburg, KY, with a 3rd shift schedule and starting pay of $24.92 per hour.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, welding experience, valid driver's license, and ability to use common hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to use hand tools (such as pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets) to chip and grind weld slag or spatter.
• Must handle and successfully complete basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Consistently demonstrate skill in customer relations and be able to work as part of a team.
• Ongoing improvement in skill and knowledge of railcar repairs.
• Must work in all types of weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Railcar Repair – conducts repairs and maintenance on tank cars following current procedures.
• Customer Support – meets customer expectations and requirements for satisfaction.
• Clerical – ensures invoicing, inspection, and work order information is complete.
• Maintains all certifications, including tank car welding, and keeps required registrations up to date.
