Railcar Repair Mechanic

Augusta, GA

PSC Group is now hiring a full-time Railcar Repair Technician who will work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks to coordinate and complete all railcar repairs. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00 / hr.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs.
2. Utilize basic mechanical skills and build knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut, and gouge.
3. Notify of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks.
4. Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean, and comply with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies.
5. Ensure AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met.
6. Complete any other duties as assigned to complete the task.

Job Qualifications:

1. Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training is available.
2. May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location.
3. Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
4. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
5. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
