Job summary

Watco is hiring for a Railcar/Equipment Inspector. You will perform railcar, barge, and equipment inspections to support safe product transfers across pipelines and related systems, while following WTIS instructions and regulations.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and cross-training on heavy equipment to support terminal and transportation operations. Shift is 1st, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm with occasional weekend work; work outdoors in varying weather; you will operate engines and pumps

Qualifications

• Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
• Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required.
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
• Knowledge of company safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Climb onto top and underneath railcars in order to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist.
• Work on barges to assist in hooking up product and steam lines.
• Perform structural inspections as required.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer.
• Will be responsible for the operation as it relates to pipelines, compressors, auxiliary, equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves and other related equipment.
• Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
• Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping.
• Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned
