Job summary

Watco is hiring an entry-level operator to safely unload and load bulk and packaged commodities at our port/rail facilities. You will support operators and ensure work meets supervisor expectations and published policies.

The role requires safety training, reliability, and the ability to work daytime hours with potential nights and weekends. TWIC, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Must complete safety and environmental training and attend daily briefings.
• Must demonstrate reliable attendance and safe, quality work performance.
• TWIC credential as required by USCG/DHS regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in unloading/loading bulk and packaged commodities from vessel, railcars, trucks, or storage facilities.
• Participate in safety and environmental training and daily briefings.
• Follow safety and operational procedures; report unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain terminal housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform other terminal duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Report to work on time; may work extended hours, nights, or weekends.
• Be available for 24-hour call-in.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Work at heights exceeding 80 feet.
• May be assigned to other facilities within 50 miles of the Tampa Bay Area.
