R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Co LLC in Hondo, TX is seeking Mechanical Team Members (QMI) to inspect and repair railcars and document work for verification. The role requires careful adherence to federal inspection standards and safe, timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Railcar inspection and repair experience preferred.
• Accurate data entry and material ordering abilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars and document repairs for verification.
• Complete railcar inspections, including extended haul inspections, per CFR parts 215, 218, 224, 231, 232.
• Document work performed and record material usage.
• Ensure all required paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correct.
• Complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Keep vehicles and shops clean and safe.
• Undergo QMI training.
• Proficient in car repair, data entry, and material ordering.
• May qualify to move locomotives and freight cars; further training provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
