Job summary

CF Rail Services, LLC is seeking a Railcar Cleaning & Assembly Technician 1 to perform cleaning, dismantling, and final assembly of railcars on the 1st shift, following CFRS quality standards.

You will operate hand and power tools, document work orders, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Training will cover equipment operation and CFRS safety procedures, emphasizing teamwork and reliability, with potential overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Successful completion of CFRS training courses with an 80%+ score coordinated by CF Rail Management: FRA Freight Car Safety Standards, Safety Data Sheets

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on various types of railcars using mechanical, grinding, and cleaning tasks as required.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools (pressure washer, grinders, torches, impact wrenches).
• Proficiently document work performed on work orders and repair cards.
• Keep work area clean and orderly to comply with CFRS, OSHA and environmental rules and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Learn and adhere to CFRS safety procedures and the basic flow of the railroad repair business.
• Document training to operate or drive equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, skid loaders.
