Job summary

Sasser, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Blaster to support the CF Rail Services team. The role involves operating blasting equipment to prep railcars for coatings, adhering to CFRS safety procedures, and assisting finishing departments as needed.

The position requires basic math, reading, and writing skills and ability to work in a team. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and will need to complete required CF Rail Management courses with strong performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete CF Rail Management courses with 80%+ score.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to CFRS safety procedures.
• Understand basic flow and logistics of railroad repair operations.
• Keep work area clean and compliant with CFRS/OSHA rules.
• Follow instructions and perform BRC work order execution without supervision.
• Operate blasting equipment and prepare railcar surfaces per requirements.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools; perform routine maintenance.
