Job summary

Ardmore Roderick in Chicago, IL seeks a Rail Yard and Shop Construction Oversight Manager to lead oversight of railroad facilities projects from design through close-out. You will coordinate with CM, GC teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and ensure contractual obligations are met while maintaining safety and quality.

The role offers hybrid work depending on client needs and requires a strong background in transit construction, contract management, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or relevant area of study.
• 6+ years of transit/rail project delivery experience (DB/DBB).
• Experience with contract management, site observation and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Proficiency with project website software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee rail yard and shop construction scope, schedule, budget, and change management to deliver a viable installation.
• Ensure CM and GC commitments are met on time and within budget.
• Review contract documents to confirm deliverables and resources required for project execution.
