Job summary

Quantix SCS LLC is seeking Rail Yard Operators to safely move and place rail cars, coordinating with Rail Techs for Blue Flag clearance and providing track locations under Rail Coordinator instructions.

Responsibilities include daily equipment inspections, strict safety rule adherence, and maintaining cleanliness of locomotives and track areas. You will operate in-plant movements and report any equipment or process issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience with rail car movement and switching operations.
• Knowledge of rail track switching and track systems.
• Familiar with locomotive and track mobile equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors and in all weather.
• Strong safety and compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Total Customer Satisfaction.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Complete daily inspections of equipment to be used, kept clean and in good running order.
• Must be knowledgeable on how to use all equipment necessary to complete any task given daily.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Switching Locomotive and Rail Track area.
• Operate all in plant Rail Movement adhering to A&R Rail Operating Procedures and Safety Rules.
• Communicate about any problems or concerns you may have with equipment or processes.
• Immediately acknowledge and/or accept responsibility for damage to product, equipment, etc & Responsible for taking direction from Supervisor and or Rail Coordinator.
• Responsible for any other duties as assigned by Management.
