Watco is hiring a Conductor/Engineer in Plaquemine, LA to control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards or industrial sites, ensuring safe and efficient unloading/loading for customers.

Qualifications

• Reads switching orders
• Understands railroad rules and regulations
• Maintains safe and efficient train movements

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance
• Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of train crews
• Observe signals and operate locomotive per rules
• Read and interpret signals, warrants and bulletins
• Coordinate switching with dispatcher and crew
• Maintain records of cars switched
• Perform other duties as required
