Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is seeking an Assembler Technician I in Lexington, NC. You will support mechanical and assembly activities in a fast-paced production environment, contributing to the final assembly of rail vehicles.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic English communication, and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams. Monday-Thursday shift 5:30am–4:00pm with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or similar environment such as electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive or electrical service industries.
• Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English
• Knowledge of reading of blueprints, diagrams and various part list is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Build up and assemble units in passenger coaches such as, but not limited to, roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, and panels, including air supply racks and piping assemblies.
• Apply adhesive, assemble, and align floor panels, windows, and door assemblies.
• Install mechanical components such as insulation, sidewall panels, seating, and luggage racks.
• Route and connect electrical wiring harnesses to final termination points and subassemblies.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble components as required.
• Duties may consist of, but not limited to, working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and verbal instructions to produce electrical or Electro-Mechanical subassemblies.
• Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.
