Job summary

TYLin is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support complex Rail + Transit projects based in New York City, with opportunities across the United States. This is a technically focused role for a BIM professional responsible for digital delivery and coordination in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional BIM experience supporting transportation, rail, or complex infrastructure.
• Experience using Revit/Autocad/OpenBuildings Designer (Bentley), with a background in engineering/architecture drawings.
• Experience developing and coordinating BIM models on large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), digital delivery standards, and model coordination processes.
• Experience performing clash detection, model validation, and QA/QC reviews.
• Strong understanding of engineering and architectural documentation workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering technically excellent BIM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM models for rail and transit projects including stations and facilities.
• Produce high-quality BIM deliverables using Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer, and other applications.
• Support model coordination, clash detection, and integration across disciplines.
• Implement BEPs and digital delivery requirements per BEP guidelines.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, schedules, and documentation.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure compliance with TYLin standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and project teams to resolve coordination issues.
• Support digital deliverables across all phases of project development.
• Contribute to BIM workflow improvements and template development.
• Stay current with BIM technologies and industry best practices.
