Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a skilled technician to build and test traction motors for rail vehicles. You will disassemble, assemble, inspect, and adjust components to exacting standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires hands-on experience with machinery, good record-keeping, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. A 5:30pm–4:00am core shift follows initial days of training; a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in math, reading, writing and communication.
• Knowledge of EHS practices, product standards and assembly methods.
• Experience operating machinery, using tools and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to capture accurate records in written and electronic formats.
• Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled spaces and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble motor units; clean, inspect and adjust to specs.
• Perform inbound inspections; stage parts; verify components.
• Prepare assemblies: rotors, stators, seals, coils and insulation.
• Install bearings; test electrical, insulation, surge, balance and vibration.
• Keep workspace safe; prep for paint; maintain tools; drive 6S and improvements.
