Job summary

Reporting to the Director of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design, you'll supervise contractors, provide cost estimates, and support BAS controls and rail-specific systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Five years of Mechanical Engineering design experience for mechanical systems, plumbing, fire protection, BAS controls, and railroad systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, engineering, construction management, and maintenance support on Metra lines, yards, shops, and facilities.
• Prepare design packages, equipment specifications, and load calculations to ensure code compliance.
• Supervise consultants, manage project cost estimates and schedules, and coordinate with maintenance teams.
