Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a Designer Engineering to produce manufacturing drawings and BOMs using MicroStation, SolidWorks/NX, and SAP, under supervision of senior designers and project leads.

You will contribute to safety, quality, and manufacturability while collaborating with manufacturing and project teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education with diploma or degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Three to five years experience in the engineering field.
• Knowledge of NX Simcenter and MicroStation; SAP knowledge would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Produce manufacturing drawings with BOMs per company standards.
• Ensure designs meet safety and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to address manufacturability issues.
• Update drawings and BOMs as needed; perform self-check prior to formal review.
• Support project with customer RFIs and submittals.
