Job summary

R. J. Corman Railroad Switching Co LLC in Missouri is seeking Train Crew Members for full-time shifts in the Ste.

Genevieve area. You will operate switches and brakes to move trains, assemble trains by attaching/detaching freight cars, and ensure safety and compliance with procedures while keeping a strong focus on customer and coworker relations. The role requires physical stamina and a safety-conscious mindset, with duties that may vary by customer needs and 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in railroad or industrial switching preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to operate various vehicles and machinery safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate switches and brakes to move trains safely between tracks.
• Attach/detach freight cars to build trains and inspect for rules compliance.
• Ensure safe working conditions and use PPE as required.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment following safety practices.
• Maintain customer relations via proper radio etiquette and face-to-face communication.
• Foster team-oriented environment and maintain RJ Corman standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
