Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a skilled Signal System Technician in Wisconsin to ensure the safety and efficiency of railroad operations. You will conduct signal system testing per FRA and UP requirements and lead installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of signals and grade crossing devices.

Required certifications include becoming a UP certified driver during probation, meeting MV/MVR and FMCSA medical qualifications, and passing an English assessment before interview.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and clean driving record.
• Able to read and interpret technical information.
• Proficient in basic computer use and data entry.
• Must pass English assessment before interview.
• Knowledge of FRA/UPRR guidelines preferred.

Responsabilités

• Inspect signal circuitry, equipment, and systems for defects.
• Test signal circuitry and equipment per FRA requirements.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in signaling systems.
• Assemble and disassemble signal crossing devices.
• Maintain signal communication circuitry and components.
• Plan and track signal project activities and mentor teammates.
• Perform excavation work for installation tasks.
• Ensure safety compliance with FRA and company rules.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
