Job summary

Watco is seeking a Signal Foreman – Peanut Gang to lead and perform maintenance on railroad signal and crossing systems. You will direct a mobile crew, plan daily work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure safe, efficient operations in accordance with railroad rules and Watco procedures.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality. Extensive travel to multiple sites is expected as part of a mobile maintenance crew.

Qualifications

Experience in railroad signal systems and grade crossing equipment.
Strong leadership and crew supervision.
Ability to interpret diagrams and technical manuals.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily Signal Peanut Gang activities.
Plan work assignments and allocate crew, tools, materials.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install signal systems.
Monitor safety and regulatory compliance and quality.
Travel to various railroad locations and work sites.
Train and develop junior staff on signal maintenance practices.
