The program blends classroom instruction with field work across the seniority district, with evaluations and eligibility to bid on Signal Maintainer positions after completion.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Electrical/technical training or degree related to signal maintenance is preferred.
• OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, TWIC credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, inspect, and maintain signal systems essential to rail safety.
• Read electrical schematics and diagrams; operate tools and testing instruments.
• Participate in classroom and field training and undergo periodic evaluations.
• Be available for on-call work, nights, weekends, and extensive travel during training.
