Velocity Rail Solutions is hiring a Rail Service Technician to perform locomotive fueling and servicing tasks, ensuring locomotives are safe and ready for operation. You will conduct FRA-required inspections and work with specialized equipment in a railroad yard.

The role requires a Class A CDL, DOT compliance, and a strong safety mindset. Work is outdoors with set 12-hour shifts, traveling between Allentown, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Must meet FMCSA/DOT regulations and be compliant with the Clearinghouse.
• Strong safety focus and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform locomotive fueling and servicing tasks to keep locomotives safe and ready for operation.
• Conduct daily locomotive inspections as required by FRA.
• Load water, lube oil, and ballast as needed; verify fluid levels.
• Operate service equipment and hoses; stock and maintain locomotives and crew supplies.
• Follow all safety, company, railroad, and governmental procedures.
• Schedule includes 12-hour shifts with set runs between Allentown, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
