Job summary

Horrocks in Pleasant Grove, UT seeks a Rail Project Engineer to design and lead rail projects from inception to completion. The candidate should understand railroad design, grading, rail layout, and regulatory frameworks, with strong CAD skills.

This full-time role offers opportunities to guide multidisciplinary teams, strengthen client relationships, and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. Travel to project sites and conferences is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years of rail, transit or site development experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for rail projects and support Project Managers on multiple projects.
• Train junior staff to work with CAD to meet schedules and budgets.
• Attend client meetings and strengthen client relationships.
• Coordinate with governing agencies across states for regulatory compliance.
• Implement QA/QC procedures throughout project development.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop business practices and grow into PM roles.
