Job summary

Horrocks is seeking an experienced Rail Project Engineer in Pleasant Grove, UT, to design and lead rail projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure project delivery while adhering to federal and state regulations.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 4+ years in rail or site development, and strong CAD skills with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in rail, transit or site development projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to actively contributing to an dynamic and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for and support Project Managers manage an array of small to large rail projects simultaneously.
• Assist the Project Manager assign and train junior staff to work proficiently in CAD to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Attend client meetings and support the strengthening of client relationships by contributing to meetings and delivering projects successfully.
• Coordinate with governing agencies across multiple states to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures throughout project development.
• Work closely with Project Managers to gain deeper understanding of business practices and grow into Project management.
• Travel occasionally to rail project sites, in person client meeting, and industry conferences.
• Perform other duties as needed.
