Job summary

Alstom in Washington, DC is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and optimize production systems for rail mobility. The role focuses on implementing APSYS objectives, coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and planning teams, and ensuring BoM accuracy and work instructions.

The candidate will bring a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, 5 years in railway maintenance or manufacturing, and strong CAD/SAP proficiency, with excellent communication in English and willingness to

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
5 years of experience in railway maintenance or manufacturing.
Experience with methods engineering and maintenance work instruction development.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) for BOM and configuration follow-up.
Proficiency with drafting/CAD tools: AutoCAD, Pro-E, CATIA, Solid Works.
Ability to read schematics and drawings.
Experience with Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) deployment.
Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Interface with the customer while performing duties.
Create Work Instructions with standard tasks lists and standard times.
Ensure availability of special tools and accuracy of the BoM.
Align industrial means with maintenance and train design.
Conduct field validation when necessary.
Aim for high industrial performance within APSYS.
Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Fleet/Depot planners and central organization.
Introduce Work Instructions to the Amtrak production team.
Support ILS activities and validate train product documentation and tools.
