Job summary

Woojin IS America, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Production Manager for the Carson, CA facility to oversee daily manufacturing, supervise production staff, and ensure safe, high-quality, on-time output.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance to optimize workflow and meet schedule commitments while maintaining a strong safety culture and cost-conscious operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or rail-related environments.
• Experience managing shop-floor operations and production personnel.
• Rail industry or heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/manufacturing systems preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities related to railcar assembly and manufacturing.
• Coordinate labor, workflow, and production priorities to meet schedules.
• Monitor production progress and address safety, quality, and productivity issues.
• Ensure work follows engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Communicate production status and needs to Head of Operations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
