Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a PCB Soldering Specialist to transform components into fully assembled boards for rail communications equipment. You’ll work with a Production Supervisor, follow work instructions and BOMs, and receive training to master each build step.

You will contribute to a precise, safe, and efficient assembly environment, with opportunities to back up other teams and engage in ongoing training to broaden your skills within rail electrification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Baseline soldering capability and basic computer skills.
• Clear communication, written and verbal.
• Fundamental math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate in an ESD-controlled environment.
• Interpret assembly prints, diagrams, and BOMs.
• Select and place resistors, capacitors, relays, transistors, ICs.
• Twist, bend, trim component leads; crimp, strip, and solder wiring.
• Create clean, reliable through-hole solder joints and underside board connections.
• Perform SMT work; surface-mount experience is required.
• Use common tools safely and effectively.
• Verify quality with the Quality team to meet specs.
• Apply 5S to keep equipment and bench inspection-ready.
• Speak up about any deviation that could affect safety, quality, or output.
• Drive continuous improvement and help eliminate waste.
• Back up other assembly teams when needed and model professionalism.
