Job summary

Timken Company is seeking a meticulous Parts Inspector to ensure end caps, backing rings, and wear rings meet customer and AAR specifications. You will use micrometers, gauges, and templates to verify flatness, roundness, and defects, marking areas of concern and recording scrap data.

Responsibilities include rejecting non-conforming parts, inputting defect information into the terminal, and assisting in the assembly process when required. Requires attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with micrometers and gauges preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to read measurements.
• Ability to input data into computer terminals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect end caps, backing rings and wear rings for conformance to customer and AAR specs.
• Measure dimensions with micrometers, gauges and templates.
• Reject or re-grade non-conforming parts and mark defects.
• Input information into the computer system covering material scrapped or salvaged.
• Assist in the assembly of cups and cones as needed.
