Jacobs in the US Northeast Transportation Planning team seeks a Senior Rail Operations Planning Lead to optimize network performance and deliver data-driven solutions for rail systems in the New York Metro region.

You will lead development of operational plans balancing capacity, safety, and commitments, mentor staff, and support business development while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work model with opportunities to contribute to national projects across NEC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Post-graduate experience in transportation planning or rail operations.
• Experience with transit and railroad operations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to regional commuter rail strategies through project management and technical delivery oversight.
• Advance an integrated approach to rail infrastructure design and service planning and oversee rail network simulations.
• Lead design and delivery of rail infrastructure projects (intercity, regional, freight) in the east region and nationwide.
