Job summary

Quantix SCS LLC is seeking a Rail Operations Associate in Rincon, NM to safely move, position, and switch railcars within the terminal. You will collaborate with rail technicians, supervisors, and coordinators to ensure operations meet safety guidelines, customer requirements, and company values.

Responsibilities include operating rail equipment, conducting daily inspections, reporting hazards, and maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in industrial, warehouse, or transportation environment preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn rail equipment (locomotives, Rail Kings).
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, work outdoors, and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate rail equipment and perform interplant railcar switching in accordance with company and terminal rail procedures.
• Communicate with rail technicians for Blue Flag clearance and proper loading location access.
• Provide accurate track location updates and follow switching instructions from the Rail Coordinator.
• Follow all company safety procedures and conduct daily inspections of locomotives, rail cars, brakes, hoses, and tracks.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of switching equipment and surrounding work areas.
• Assist with other terminal duties or special projects as assigned by leadership.
