Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Shift Manager at Butler Works in Butler, PA to effectively manage safety, equipment and personnel to deliver incident-free, quality rail service.

You will supervise hourly union staff, schedule work, and coordinate with rail partners and contractors to ensure on-time loading, unloading, and deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, with strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and provide work directions for hourly union employees and the rail service maintenance group.
• Assign manpower and equipment to load, unload, and move railroad cars using cranes and locomotives while using two-way interplant radio.
• Coordinate with foreign railroad partners to ensure on-time delivery and correct set offs and pick-ups.
• Interface with contractors and operating departments to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Perform incident investigation and documentation.
