Job summary

Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV is seeking an Operations Control Center Supervisor to manage rail operations in Pearl City, HI. The role focuses on supervising OCC staff, monitoring electrical power systems, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The position requires at least two years in rail dispatch or similar, with familiarity in SCADA and electrical systems; a high school diploma is required and electrical engineering training is a plus. EOE and comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Two years with rail dispatch, air traffic control, or missile control.
• Basic understanding of large monitoring and control systems.
• Ability to perform duties in critical situations.
• Training in electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain power distribution equipment and emergency facilities.
• Assign tasks by workload priority; supervise staff and conduct inspections.
• Manage control room activities and coordinate planned/unplanned work.
• Provide clear information to Train Operators and Field Staff.
• Answer emergency calls from stations, trains and passengers.
• Read plans and electrical schematics; stay current with transit tech.
• Lead shift briefings and ensure staff are fit for duty and trained.
• Arrange shift coverage per staffing plan and union rules.
