Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus one year of professional transportation experience in analysis, planning or research.
• Experience in developing studies, reports, and master plans; collecting and analyzing data; forecasting trends.
• Ability to identify financing, develop alternatives, and apply program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation system analysis and planning activities.
• Monitor and implement State and federal funding and programming requirements.
• Coordinate with railroads and the FRA on grant opportunities and awards.
• Provide communication between railroads and NDOT for projects across disciplines.
• Conduct or organize training sessions for staff on equipment use, program procedures, goals and requirements.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and transportation alternatives to meet department goals.
