Job summary

CSX is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee quality inspections and repairs of rail cars and locomotives within a Mechanical terminal and on the line of road. You will ensure work follows CSX safety rules and FRA/AAR standards, drive safety, quality, and production improvements, and coach both managers and union employees.

The role includes budgeting responsibilities and cross-functional conflict resolution, with opportunities to develop teams and optimize operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience in Transportation, Logistics, Rail Operations, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (4-year).

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety plans and communicate them across departments.
• Conduct safety briefings and promote safe work practices.
• Perform safety observations and tests for compliance with standards.
• Identify hazards and drive timely resolution.
• Oversee car inspection, yard, and line-of-road work to meet standards.
• Coach and train managers and union staff.
• Forecast staffing and material needs to meet objectives.
